At my beginning, I founded a non-profit organization focused on providing particular on-the-field interventions for troubled families with underaged youth, financed by the local social and health authorities, on empowering the family system and the community around it and, when possible, avoiding foster and residential care.
After an important and painful personal challenge, I decided to improve my skills in couple counseling, and in 2019, I started to train myself in the Gottman Method directly with John Gottman and Julie Schwartz-Gottman. I appreciated the Gottman Method’s concreteness, versatility, and its foundation on scientific research. I also appreciate different influences, from dialectical behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, polyvagal theory, biofeedback, and coaching.
